Abstract:
Five-time Tony award-winning costume designer and Seaboard native, William Ivey Long, has plans to help the local economy of his town. Backed by celebrities from music, film, fashion, and Broadway, and North Carolina notables, he founded the Eastern Seaboard Trust. The trust is an umbrella, non-profit charged with spurring economic development in the town. Porter-Rockwell recounts what has been accomplished under the program and what is in the future.
