A work-study program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Information and Library Science is one of the most innovative in the nation. Interns' experience at the EPA library in Research Triangle Park is invaluable.

Abstract:
Buncombe County erected a law library on the sixth floor of the county's courthouse to aid authorities and lawyers in court cases. One thousand volumes made up the library's holdings, mostly collected by donation or from funds raised by court fees.

Abstract:
The state's General Assembly approved of have a law library in 1812. In 1967 the library held 63,000 volumes pertaining to law. By July 1940, the library was located in the Justice Building between Fayetteville and Wilmington Street in Raleigh.
