Abstract:

Producers of sourwood honey, residents in Surry County utilize bees for honey production. Peak season runs during the summer months, specifically June and July. Bee keepers in this region claim that the cooling breezes of the Blue Ridge Mountains contribute to the flavor of this unique variety of honey.
