Abstract:

According to U.S. government statistics, North Carolina is now known as the “Brick Capital of the Nation.” One-tenth of all brick produced in the country, roughly more than half a billion brick, comes from the state.

Abstract:

Boren Clay Products Company, founded in 1946 by Orton and Addison Boren, has headquarters in Pleasant Garden near Greensboro. The privately-held company makes over 320 million brick a year. Boren makes one of every nine brick produced in the country, and one out of every four produced in North Carolina.
