For thirty years Rev. Thomas Campbell Darst has been bishop of the Diocese of East Carolina. His last official duty will be to preside at the convention at New Bern. He has had a wonderful career, confirming over 10,500 and is also an educator in divinity.

Abstract:
Due to dwindling attendance, St. Mark’s in Roxobel was to close its doors and move relics to St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Windsor. That is, before local families and individuals, other Eastern North Carolina Episcopal churches, Albemarle Deanery, and Diocese of East Carolina joined to keep its doors open. Courtesy of their collaborative efforts, the church established in 1883 and maintained its original structure keeps its doors open as a mission church.

Trinity Center on Bogue Banks occupies sound-to-sea property donated by Alice Hoffman. Owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of East Carolina, it is used for camps, conferences, and retreats by nonprofit groups.
