Gaston Lake, located on the North Carolina and Virginia state line, is not only a significant resource for the Virginia Electric Power Company, but provides a valuable asset as a tourist attraction, drawing one and a half million visitors annually. Patrons enjoy hunting, fishing, water sports, campgrounds, and golf clubs, among many other positive features.

Abstract:
Willow Run, an Interdenominational Christian Church Camp, is located at Gaston Lake. The camp was built as a replica of an 1890 train depot including an actual train complete with 22 boxcars, two baggage cars, and a caboose. The camp is open to adults as well as children.
