Abstract:
In 1928, Duke Power Company impounded the 4,100 acres of water now called Lake Hickory. The reservoir on the Catawba River is surrounded by Alexander, Caldwell, and Catawba Counties. Richardson discusses access and accommodations, physical features, fish populations, and water sports there.
