Orville Wright, [Diary Entry], December 1903Text from
Diary
[15 December 1903, Tuesday - Orville Wright Diary,
Kill Devil Hills, NC]
[16 December 1903, Wednesday - Orville Wright Diary, Kill Devil Hills, NC] Wind of 6 to 7 meters blowing from west and northwest in morning. We completed repairs [Page 52] by noon and got the machine out on the tracks in front of the building ready for a trial from the level. The wind was gradually dying and by the time we were ready was blowing only about 4 to 5 meters per sec. After waiting several hours to see whether it would breeze up again we took the machine in. Weather Data for 16 December 1903
