The 1955 General Assembly authorized the creation of a Commission to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Incorporation
of the Town of Bath. This Commission will develop plans for State participation in an appropriate celebration of this historic
event.
I take pleasure in appointing you as a member of this Bath Commission and hope that you will be able to serve. Mr. Edmund
H. Harding of Washington is chairman of the Commission and will contact you with details about the first meeting of this group.
