Tuberculosis Verrucosa
Dermatologic stereoview card. Front of card depicts hand of patient with inflamed evidence of Tuberculosis Verrucosa across the knuckles and fingertips. The reverse of the card discusses the condition, including diagnosis and treatment. Tuberculosis Verrucosa begins as one or more pea to coin-sized papules that progress in size and surface area. The growths are usually a dusky or brownish red. The backs of the hands are very susceptible, though papules can appear anywhere. Cauterization, or total excision and skin grafting of larger growths are noted as treatments for the disease.
