Hood's Tooth Powder
The front of this card depicts two young women facing each other while sitting on low stools. One is wearing a white dress with a blue sash and the other one is wearing a blue dress with a white sash. Beneath them are the words "Alike the World Over". The two young women are discussing another young woman getting engaged because she used "Hood's Tooth Powder" and her breath was so sweet her young man just couldn't resist. The reverse of the card states "Hood's Tooth Powder" is distinguished from all other preparations by its extraordinary efficacy in removing tartar, ensuring to the teeth a most beautiful, pearly whiteness and by its corrective and astringent properties inducing a healthy action of the gums and a consequent firmness and brightness of color. Hood's Tooth Powder receives the sanction and patronage of the most eminent dentists. No other preparation leaves in the mouth such a cool, cleansing sensation as Hood's Tooth Powder. It neutralizes the offensive secretions and sweetens the breath. The novelty of using Hood's Tooth Powder is such that children that are careless about cleaning their teeth, form the habit of doing it before they know it.
