The reverse proclaims 'Do Not Drink Ice Water!' and promotes the ease of using extract over Medicinal Roots to make Root Beer. From the card: 'Allen's Root Beer Extract makes a splendid drink for children, being made from Roots and Barks, (Ginger, Dandelion, Hops, Wintergreen, etc.,) making a pleasant and healthy beverage. Price, 25 cents... is a medicine as well as a beverage, acting gently on the Kidneys and Liver.' Sold by C.E. Carter, Pharmacist (Lowell, Mass.).
