I agree with the comments above. The lumina was taken down in 1973 do to the deteriorating state of the establishment. Additionally, this is a map of the trolly lines. The trolly was discontinued after the great fire due to the safety hazard it caused. In 35 it was replaced with the bridge (my dates and facts might be slightly off here).
If anything this is between 1910-1933
The trolly to the beach was built by Tide Water Power Co to promote business at the large Lumina Pavilion ,that they had a business interest in , it was located by the current Crystal Pier , the Lumina Dance Hall was the place to be , big bands and dancing for years , David Brinkley, one of the few top national newsmen in New York from the 1940's - 1990's, did work there at the Lumina in High School likely as a towel boy , before going to New York , he attended New Hanover High School in Downtown Wilmington NC
I know for a fact that this was printed in 1911 in the Morning Star in Wilmington, NC; the New Hanover County Library has a copy of it!
Your date range is way off. Its from about 1910-1933 based on when Carolina Power and Light was purchased by Progress Energy.
