Ammons kept this notebook while in Rome on a fellowship in 1967. Many pages have been torn out and are now in the archives at Cornell. It contains drafts of a poem called "Guitar Recitativos" that was meant as his answer to rock and roll. date: 1967 creator: A. R. Ammons
