USS NORTH CAROLINA Battleship Collection: Henry C. Greenway oral history interview, June 25, 1975. Greenway was a member of the United States Navy and served on the NORTH CAROLINA until 1944. Greenway was on the bridge and relayed news that a torpedo was heading for the NORTH CAROLINA to the ship's captain just before it struck the ship. Greenway describes the experience including the casualties and how the crew reacted to being hit by the torpedo, his duties aboard the ship, and his participation in the campaign in the Marshall Islands during World War II.
