Letter from Turner Nelson to James Roach. Nelson, who had moved from Swift Creek to Posey County, Indiana, had been a school teacher in Swift Creek, then did the same in Indiana before opening a hotel and finding great success. This letter mentions a number of Swift Creek folks, including Betsy Bryan, Ajax Campbell, Jordan Butler, Laban Morris and sons, Sally Williams (sister of Caroline "Kitty" Williams, Laban's wife), Alderson Ellison, and others.
